This design probably holds the current record of layers in one PSD file - 527 - not anything impossible, however needs reasonably fast machine to operate the file.

Damn I got problems when I have about 50 layers. Whit 100 layers it's already a big no-no.
You are jusing Mac?
Thanks for commenting - I'm using both mac and pc - never had any problems with regards to how many layers there are.
